I just picked this up the other day, ive seen similar ones sold online but I cant find much backstory on them. Does anyone know roughly when they were produced, what it could have been for?

It has a little bit of damage but it looks like someone glued or applied a cloth type material to the back of the silk art to hold it together. It appears old

    That's a handsome piece

Most of what I'm finding say Chinese exports for the American market late 19th to early 20th century. Just guessing they were made purely as patriotic pieces and meant to be used as wall hangings or framed and displayed in homes, offices, etc.

There seems to be a pretty robust market for these types of pieces if you're thinking of selling.
