Hello! I have only posted once before here when I 20241019_142901.jpg 20241019_142933.jpg mistook a vintage reproduction for antique. I have learned more since then but this piece of jewelry is new territory (I normally collect wood carvings and art).

There are there separate pendant pieces that I am pretty sure go together as one as photographed. Very tarnished and dirty, middle piece is missing one stone, but the others appear present. Used a loupe and definitely lots of shine to be seen through the narrow openings. Very light metal. All hanging together is 3" long.

Any advice welcome! It is way too easy to get excited and see what I want to see lol.

That is good to hear! Thank you. Do you think I should have the pieces professionally cleaned and repaired? I can fix up wood but this is way out of my wheelhouse.

Looks right to me too, not that I see any here. I wouldn't mess with this; if it's true to form those missing stones are diamonds.

I also bought it from an auction but as the three pieces were displayed as separate entities and the overall description was vague, no one else bid. I bought it for $1! Seriously cannot believe I landed such an amazingly cool find!

NO. WAY. Was it a formal auction or an auction website (ebay etc?) What an insane find for that price!

Thank you! I was thinking it was Flemish based on other examples I found online. I'm really excited to find something so old.

Local online auction with poor pictures and bad description. My pics here are way clearer and with the pieces properly arranged. The auction was full of antiques of all kinds, including jewelry, that went for good money, but these three little pieces were overlooked by everyone. I thought the metal working was insanely beautiful so went for it. So glad I did!!!

Unless you can find someone who really understands very antique jewels, I’d leave it be. You’d need old cut diamonds too.

That makes sense, thanks. Do you think it is worth getting it appraised given the condition? I have no idea what this is worth as is. I love it and want to keep it but want to know better what I have.

You'd need to find an appraiser who understood what it is. My gut feel would be look at the sale value of undamaged ones and maybe halve that?

Someone was seriously asleep at the switch! Antique gold and diamonds for a whole DOLLAR. Around here I felt lucky to get some stoneless 70s costume necklaces for a buck each. Just goes to show that proper search terms are a good thing...for sellers. Bad for us cheapskates.

I really do love getting a deal but this is next level. There are many resellers sourcing from the same auction site so I am surprised no one else bid. I will send some of my one dollar luck your way!
