Featured MCM or just mid century?

    Picked up this cutie recently, what do you think? Any clue as to brand from stamp?     Just mid-century, IMHO. I don't see Mid-Century Modern, but I'm no expert!

    I would call this MCM. It is not high end or by a famous designer but it is certainly modern in styling.

    I wouldn’t. Doesn’t have the clean lines of MCM. Curved top and top drawers; gold? strip between the doors; decorative hardware handles; “fruitwood mahogany” (whatever that is) all say no to me, located in New England where a lot of MCM lived and lives. Brown furniture from mid or later 20th century would be my appraisal.
