Can’t seem to find any information on this vase. Any thoughts?

    Hi Helena and welcome!

Could you show a photo of the base and tell us anything you already know. For example, what part of the world it was found etc.

Maybe 1960’s geometric and cubism movement, I’m just guessing.

Very nice vase, Art Deco meets Memphis Style. I hope the base will tell us more.
    Tagging @reader .:)

I’ve seen that shape here on Clarice Cliff pieces.

I remember her name now that you posted from college ceramics, she was a favorite of one of my teachers, Katherine McBride sadly she passed some years back. IMG_2024-10-16-081441.png

I second Clarice Cliff. It absolutely smacks of her style.

TY for the tag AJ. Interesting piece. I definitely see the CC thought although that zigzag ribbon is weird to me and I’d expect a stamp. Some pieces are that angular but more are a mix. She certainly used red with yellow and green. Do we know where it was found? If UK I’d think “student of…” (Not that that’s reliable-I own a piece of Bizarre). Gut feeling is earlier than Memphis (and palette is wrong for Memphis IMO). I’ve never seen CC pieces that weren’t stamped but I’m sure there are some.

I also get vibes of some vintage Czech and Hungarian pottery.

I think the piece needs to be submitted on a Cliff specific forum.
