    доброго дня! Я прошу вашої допомоги. Я знайшов дві старі картини в поганому стані. У кутку є підпис художника, але він дуже погано зберігся. На звороті однієї з картин є підпис. Може хтось допоможе ідентифікувати художника? Дуже дякую. PS Я пишу за допомогою Google Translate! Вибачте за помилки.

    To my eye, it looks like two letters, the first being a capital "E."

    I think these are decorative paintings from the late 19th or early 20th century. Quality is better than we see from later periods. Would suspect these to be German in origin. It was the primary source of such decorative paintings during this period. Here in the US, many such paintings were sold primarily in furniture and department stores.

    cabin on a the streams bank, trees , some tiny folks, and fuzzy mountains in the background......must have been all the rage at some point in time....

    I'll bet they matched someones couch..
