Featured old/vintage military photograph

    hi folks

    anyone have an idea on the period of this military photograph, or perhaps even any of the characters in it, doesn't bring up one the same. can't even remember where or when i found it

    They might be Police Recruits or even Specials

    Note the guy in the centre has a whistle chain and the men stood to attention have collar numbers and insignia on their epaulettes.

    I would say between the wars, some police forces had ex Army officers as their Chief Constables, the guy in Khaki is obviously Army

    Several senior officers are wearing medals, one is wearing the military cross, so they probably served in WWI as Army

    interesting thanks dave, thinking about it some of them look to be knocking on a bit to be soldiers, so makes sense

    I would say it looks a bit like Gen. Montgomery reviewing troops but he always wore the soft hat. The uniforms look like British Army, but I'm not as familiar with overseas uniforms.
