Anyone heard of a Kovak lamp? Seen this unusual one?

    I found this lamp last week at a thrift store. I like the unusual shape of it & when I googled Kovac i found a lot of examples of their lamps, but none like this one!
    It's a adjustable table lamp but it adjusts with a Flexible piece behind the lamp head and at the base, but it's rigid in the middle!
    Has anyone seen one like this?
    What do I call it? How old is it?

    Kovacs makes stylish mid-priced lamps. Think you lamp is probably 80s or later.
