    Hello,
I found this a while back at a thrift store, and haven’t had any luck figuring out what it is. This is all I have found with google imaging that is similar but they didn’t seem to know for sure either.

Has anyone seen one of these before?

    Thank you in advance!

Yours looks much like the pre-historic Croatian Brač bird vessel, but since it is so much alike it could be a replica. I like it very much, and must say it looks old to me.
I can't find anything about it other than the link you posted, but I guess it was a ceramic made by the pre-historic Vučedol culture:

There is a photo of another bird vessel in the link.

A great and interesting looking item. Surely it must be genuine and old. Looks really legit (in my very limited knowledge opinion) If that’s a replica then it’s very very well done..

Agree. It even has what looks like mineral salts extrusion around the head.
Real or replica, I am impressed either way.

A very interesting piece, and clearly related to the one in the link.

The link provides quite a bit of useful information -

FIGURINE PUBLISHED IN THE BOOK "BRAČ - LANDSCAPES AND MONUMENTS" / Supetar 24.11.2014.

"This ceramic figurine was found on the eastern side of the island of Brač in the area of Vejaci, at the foot of the largest prehistoric fortress in Brač, Velo Gračišće, on the border with the ancient site of Bunje. It was bought from the owner of the field where it was found with the private funds of the members of the Foundation and donated to the collection of archaeological objects on the island of Brač. The figurine was recently published in the books "BRAČ - landscapes and monuments" and "BRAČ - landscapes and monuments".

"As this ritual figurine is irresistibly reminiscent of the Vučedol dove, it aroused enormous interest in the profession, and academician Petar Šimunović affectionately nicknamed it the Brač partridge."

The mention of the Vučedol dove led me to follow up on that. I found it is a popular subject for reproductions -

Your pitcher comes from an area well versed in producing convincing reproductions/fakes, so without a provenance it may be difficult to determine whether it is a genuine archeological artifact or well done imitation.

I notice a subtle pattern around the neck area that looks like the impression made when a slab of clay is rolled out on canvas -

This might be evidence of a modern technique. Alternatively, it might be evidence that the pitcher was wrapped in a textile in a burial context.

I messaged both archeology departments that Any Jewelry suggested. I will let you know if I hear anything back.
