Featured Antique lustre panel floral moulded jug

    Well that's how I'd describe it anyway. Picked it up today for loose change and can't find anything similar on the www. No marks. It's 19cm tall. Sunderland crosses my mind. Other than that, no idea. Anyone got any ideas please?

    Gilded transfer ware with hand done polychrome embellishment. I think a Staffordshire maker.

    Transfer ware goes back to the eighteenth century. See also bat prints!

    I’d think mid to late nineteenth, yes. By which time transfer wares were common.
