Long shot time. This came with a bunch of old doll clothes. I don’t think it matters all that much but I’d love to know where this was from if possible. My searches came up empty. Left side ## S. Twelfth St. Philadelphia, PA”. On the right side side I can’t make out top line, bottom line possibly reads “New York City”. 4CEE3279-D5B7-40DE-903F-3AE5C77175B6.jpeg B3E052E5-2785-4C78-A9A5-E96CF966AC11.jpeg

You're probably looking at a 2 digit number, X6, for the S. Twelfth Street address. A city directory would help you. But are you sure it's a doll coat hanger? Could be a merchandise hanger. Above New York City it may read _________ Hanger Co.

It came with a bunch of antique doll clothes and written on the back in pencil is “red dress”. I can’t say what it started life as but it ended it’s useful life as a doll clothes hanger. Hanger Co…..that would make sense! It might be “Atlantic Hanger Co.”. Those missing numbers are a real pain!

The digits should be easy to figure out. Only a tiny corner of left is missing. You're probably looking at only one missing digit. A bit of time with a Polk Directory should allow you to figure it out.

Antique doll clothes or vintage doll clothes? Still don't think meant for that purpose.

If you’re confident it wasn’t meant for that purpose then I’m much less interested in figuring it out. A general purpose hanger isn’t that interesting. The clothes and accessories are probably a mix of antique and vintage. Most of the children’s stuff I got from the estate was late 19th or quite early 20th. The clothes are not very nice and not in great condition unfortunately. Last minutes of a sale piling stuff quickly into a bin for low money.
