Featured Mystery Beads

    These have been hanging in the charity shop for a few weeks while I pondered them. Its double stranded, but one strand has snapped on one side. Google lens pulls up lampwork beads, venetian/medicin beads, or something Japanese.

    What are these? Definitely glass.

    Found one nearly identical on ruby lane, but they don't seem to know either.​

    Length would be right for that period.

    Japanese for me too. I've found singles in necklaces with clasps marked Japan.

    Nice necklace!

    I can tell you that Japan was making highly desirable glass beads in the 50s/60s, great foil beads, lampwork, etc. Always thrilled to find them.
