I had a wax seal similar to yours & I could swear I posted it here for some help with the description etc. but I'll be darned if I can find the thread. I did find it on my inventory & it sold for $59 which wasn't bad considering the fact that it was missing a couple of its "sides".

 

Blimey, that’s pretty decent! Mine was a whole fifty pence to buy.

I do like that caddy spoon, agreed.

 

As we got out of the car to go to Goodwill, I said "I don't know why we go here since we never find anything good anymore." 10 1/4" tall Roseville, Dahlrose. Not a big fan of this pattern in general but like it on this shape.

 

The Goodwill Gods heard you and decided to show off! I'm gonna use the "we never find anything good here anymore" prayer next time I go out because it clearly works!

Hi all,

My wife found this free FB Marketplace pickup yesterday and we wanted to share.

The dimensions are 46” x 16”x 66”

We do not have a ton of info on this piece, so if anyone has details we would love to hear.

Info we’re looking for:

• Approximate year built
• Maker/Brand
  

Original owner said it is original Tiffany glass (not sure if true or not) and they had it appraised years ago for $800. I also do not see any logos or branding anywhere. They also stated it was their grandmothers (owner was in her 50s I believe) so I think this is older than 100 years.

Hopefully you all think this piece is as cool as we do!

 

What a great piece and at my favorite price ! Id guess oak,circa 1900 or so .It may have had Tiffany glass inside of it,but Im pretty sure Tiffany didnt make glass like this .

Also forgot to include, but original owner said this is zebrawood. From my research it seems unlikely but wanted to see what everyone thought.

My first thought was zebrawood, and that lifts it way above being an ordinary Edwardian display cupboard.

These are commonly referred to as "bow front" cabinets because of the glass shape of the glass pieces. You really do not want to know what it would cost to replace any of the 3 pieces in your cabinet.

They were very popular & many people had them in their parlors to hold their pretty porcelain, china & crystal.

I have a similar one in my living room filled with perfume bottles. The main difference with mine is the "lion-claw" feet in the front are larger & the back feet are also done in the "lion-claw" style.

I always use the term "lion's paw." Are they synonyms?

They look like paw feet to me, to split the difference. Quarter-sawn oak is most likely; it was the wood of choice for these cabinets. The reason they don't make these now is the bent glass; it costs a blinkin' fortune to make now.

 

Yeah, google on Crittall windows. Curved. Insanely expensive to replace the glass.
