we did go to the two main london ones on a school trip when studying art A level and remember being blown away by the lady of Shalott, remember it being massive
its also my mums favourite painting so thats probably why

Ooh you have an absolute embarrassment of riches in your country. Obviously London is the epicenter of them but even the little ones I would die to go to. I would visit and spend weeks in UK museums alone! Definitely worth a train ride to me if I lived there.

The "snobbery" is unfortunately the foundation of the Art Market and Art World in general hah. There is a very real hierarchy in museums and art.

Big museums are prestigious and have lots of money which translates to exclusive events or world dominating exhibitions that get put on once every multiple decades. It's a huge, expensive endeavor to put on a good show. Lots of borrowing from other museums and private collectors. Very large security and insurance bill, etc. So posters from those type of events are a cut above.

The place yours came from was a tourist place. So like....a show for people who aren't as interested in art, and as such had less interesting pieces, and less of them. Vegas is known for producing entertainment that is cheaper or a veneer of something better. That's why the poster, especially of this condition, may not be worth much.

But like Deborah I would be super happy to be very wrong about it and see you make good money. Can't hurt to try!
