Stained glass window

    Hi all,

    Came across this glass window in an antique shop in southern Ireland which i was in for the first time.

    It cought my eye and am wondering where and when it might have been made.

    painted glass..... not stained glass ..imo

    interesting though...that the frame looks like it's from the 60's or earlier ....
    u can't fake that caulking wear....

    Yea i thought it had a bit of age too looking at the frame.

    It’s very much in the tradition and style of our thirties and forties theatre poster art. I’ve rather a lot of that. I suspect it came from a baker or such rather than a pub, although those are often one and the same in Ireland.

    there's a man firing arrows at something and possible flames from the loft.


    these are unstained glass windows of which there a still many in the uk,

    I actually thought the man on the right was moving a leather arm chair !! oops

    The two men carrying bowls of food are taken from Pieter Brueghel's "The Peasant Wedding":

    The other parts of the scene are parts of Brueghel paintings as well. I recognise parts from his "Dutch Sayings" painting.
