It has no manufacturer marks on it.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Tim

It's 19th century, but I don't know any specifics about who made it. Beautiful piece!

    I’d start with Egermann.

The BBC player only works in the UK. We "murricans can't see anything, and my guess is most others can't either.

First item on the show so nice and easy to find. Went for £48 in the auction.

After seeing it on the show, I typed "Bohemia glass trinket box" into Google Images and found one identical to it for sale for £130.

I then freeze-framed a close-up of the box on iPlayer and I compared minuscule marks on the box in the photos on website that was selling it to marks in the freeze-frame and found that they were an exact match which means that the box I found for sale was the exact same box as on the show. I therefore purchased it.

It wasn't useful for the original question. Anyway, as long as I am not doing any harm, it is up to me what information I provide and when I provide it.

You are seeing a problem that does not exist.

This forum is not a place where ideas are coldly exchanged like financial transactions.

It is a place where people have fun discussing things at their own pace and where people respect each other's privacy.

There is no place in this forum for making people stressed out because they are not doing what someone else wants them to do.

in order to give our best , we need to start out by knowing whatever you already know about the item. This helps us to do our best work getting to the facts of what is shown to us.

    Us, & not me alone.

but if I've offended you in any way.... it was not intentional & I apologize !

To be honest, I don't understand how its appearance on the TV program would have helped identify who made it. That information was not given on the TV program.

Anyway, thank you very much for your apology.

Antiquers use clues and then try to research. So having all the info you know gives us more clues. Some things turn out to be clues that you wouldn't have realized. It also prevents people here from digging up the same info which you already knew and did not provide, which wastes time. It's a process! ;)
