Found this today and took a bit of a gamble on it. It has a label stating Braganti Firenze. I can't find anything like it on the internet although I have found a few items by the silver smith Braganti. This doesn't seem to be in the same league as what I have found online though. The makers mark matches though so I'm confident it is bone fide. I guess this is more production line manufactured for the broader market.

Slag glass? Is that what it is? I thought it was the plastic pellets you got in those stained glass kits as a child. It does let it down a bit. I think the base is just a pressed sheet of silver then four pre fabricated feet soldered on.

The mark tells you it's 1968 or later.

I say this respectfully but look at the style and quality of those pieces compared to this one.Not in the same league Im wondering if someone had the tray and gussied it up ?

Companies go through all sorts of iterations and change owners, develop new product lines. That's why I suggested asking them directly.

That's the work that I referred to as being in a different league. This piece seems very basic in comparison..
