This pin is marked Hattie Carnegie. it is 2 1/4" top to bottom & is 1 1/2" across.

I am pretty sure the green stone is a piece of jade as it is cold to the touch.

    Any ideas as to age?

The stone is not jade, it could be glass or a green-coloured agate

Hattie Carnegie used jade coloured glass, often called 'Peking glass'. I guess this is one of those pieces.
Probably 1950s, but let's wait for the costume joolies.:)

Very pretty. Agree with above as to stone and dating. Jade colored glass, used frequently in HC pieces. Her figural pins are the most sought after, but this maker definitely has a following. It's an attractive brooch.

What they said. I don't think Hattie Carnagie ever used real stones, and if she had it wouldn't be jade in that color. Translucent green jade in that shade would be in high-karat gold. Genuine jade in costume settings came along later and was always very low-grade.
