    Hi all,

Trying to find out more about this wooden piece which caught my eye and i quite like. 20240921_142643_resize_7.jpg 20240921_142906_resize_8.jpg 20240921_141625_resize_99.jpg 20240921_141936_resize_29.jpg 20240921_142130_resize_68.jpg 20240921_141859_resize_69.jpg It seemes to be a sad looking female form with scales on her head.

The carving is mounted onto another wooden board and measures 15 inches by 7 inches approx

Any info or coments on it would be great.

    Thank you

She's very Mid-century home decor. I'd almost bet there was a matching male figure at some point.

I don't see scales on her head, I see tightly curled hair.

sorry , the way the mouth is in a frown....and the body language in a defensive posture....... that's just not a happy gal ...... it speaks of sadness , not joy ....to me anyways...:(

    Thanks Komokwa
She certainly not a happy gal alright but thats what i find somewhat attracive about her.
I think the sadness and posture of her,who ever created it was trying to tell a story of what tho im not sure.
Sure life full of sadness as well as joy dont you think?

I wonder if the artist was trying to show a moment in evolution when something morphed into a human.
