Bit of a shame if that cross is brass, it was listed as bronze which brings up the price substantially haha. Ah well. Thanks for the tip about the Missal! I'll look it up, see if I can find similar.

Update: Now I have a gem tester I took the brooch out again and tried it out, ding for diamond!! Shame about the chip, but I'm definitely not complaining for 8 euros.

Since the chain on the necklace is gold the pendant could be white, yellow and rose gold :)

Eight euros for gold and a diamond? I could roll with that.

I also expect it would be gold. I haven't seen a gold-fill version of these star burst/pinwheel brooches yet. I love all of them. They're so cute and there's a lot of variety.

on the moth necklace? I hadn't thought of that. It does have greenies though, or did. I'll take it out tomorrow and have a look. Thanks!

I currently am, and enjoying the ride haha! This winter I wear more brooches so I'll have to get it out of the drawer.

Just a note about the cross.
In the rear I read "4".
Very often , not always, when there is a number added on an object , usually it's a lot number of an auction.
So I think the cross could have a certain value but I don't know how much.

The champlevé cross is French imo. Late 19th century - 1900.

I think in this case the number is to match it to another part.
These champlevé bits and bobs were often mounted on stone holy water fonts etc. They would attach the '4' cross to the '4' aragonite or marble holy water font, hence the rivet holes in the cross.
