Hello! Could you tell me, please, is this aroma lamp (rauchverzehrer) or not?
There is an isolated space inside, where theoretically you can drop.
I'm also interested in what year the marks is? I couldn't find information about the year.

Not an aroma lamp but a night light made during the 1950s.

Tell me please how to distinguish an ordinary lamp from an aroma lamp? There is a recess inside the lamp.

Are the holes for allowing heat from the lightbulb to escape?

Just because it has a well does not mean that it is an aroma lamp. As everyone handling natural oils and scents can confirm, especially earlier or cheap types could degrade to an evil-smelling (rancid) hard-to-remove sticky goo. Removing this from such a confined space could prove quite a challenge, rendering the item useless after a while as it would stink or even catch fire. Limescale on the other hand could easily be removed with a dash of vinegar.

Night lights from the 1950s to 1970s often provided the functionality to be also used as small, simple humidifier which merely vaporized a small amount of water (roughly for one small bedroom) as attaching regular-sized humidifiers to the wall-mounted heating appliances common in Germany back then was often not an option : many landlords and associations claimed that humidifiers were responsible for the spread of Aspergillus Niger (black mold) and reacted accordingly. Nowadays we of course know that all that was pure codswallop. In fact humidifiers went through a hype in the 1980s in Germany; there were even "retro" versions in the typical 1950s fat lava look (my grandparents had a set of those!).

Thank you very much! But how to distinguish an aroma lamp from a regular one and from a humidifier?
I measured and poured 12 ml with a syringe to the edge of a large hole. A hole with a diameter of 1 cm.
This is a rather large volume, just enough for a drop of oil to mix with water. Is it an ordinary lamp or not?
