Featured Carved wooden candle holder

Hi all,I was wondering what you knowledgeable people think of this candle holder (I suppose it must be) It looks somewhat old and used to me (but I can’t really decide) I know you get ‘similar’ mass produced home decor ones made out of reclaimed wood.

The carved figures are interesting and the wood feels solid and aged. Maybe it’s something that was repurposed and made out of a turned wood piece? It’s a little strange will all the holes ao I was thinking it might have been something else first.

Anyway it stands 11cm tall. Does it look to have age? Thanks for any comments.

 

Or maybe a tourist sort of thing?

It would be good to sit a candle in, if you found one the right size. I can't imagine anyone objecting.
