The bracelet is the star of the show here – this ref. 3310J features a stunning asymmetrical brick link bracelet that strongly hints it was a design of Gilbert Albert. A close look at the buckle shows the case maker mark JPE (Jean-Pierre Ecoffey), the celebrated Genevan bracelet atelier (later headed by the one and only Jean-Pierre Hagmann) This masterpiece of bracelet making presents with an understated silvered Stern Frères dial with applied baton numerals. The icing on the cake is the caliber 99P movement. This possibly unique piece highlights the highest level of case and bracelet making that defines the era to this day.

If the watch were mine, I'd take it to a jeweler and have the bracelet and tube attachments tested for gold content. Have the bracelet removed from the watch and weighed. Ask the jeweler their opinion on whether the bracelet was cut and soldered to the end tubes. Then write down all of that information and the maker (Jean-Pierre Ecoffey) and keep it with the band.

The width of the bracelet and end tubes should be the same, but even if the tubes were to be cut down, the bracelet may never fit perfectly on another watch, so the value may be mainly in the metal content, which would be substantial if 18k gold.

Is there a possibility of locating the watch that was originally attached to the bracelet (although it probably couldn't be re-attached).

For the Tissot watch, you could get a leather band that fits and a new battery if needed, but that could cost more than the watch is worth.

She wouldn't stint herself. She married two rich men (pursued one of them across the ocean!) and expressed disapproval of my getting married because i didn't have money at the time!
