Not sure what the design is supposed to depict on this. Turquoise and Coral. Heavy. Has a marking i've yet to be able to identify.

Maybe, Maybe not, but there are rings like this with proper markings that aren't really much better looking. https://www.ebay.com/itm/386121246463

I wouldn't be surprised if someone took a commercial ring and then added the stuff on top. Silvermithing class shortcut or something.

If the ring was made to sell,a smart person would have put it into the scrap bin and started over.It is full of porosity which makes the structure full of holes like a sponge.

Yeah? I'm not saying its the same maker or style, i'm just saying there are some pretty low quality/boring/"ugly" designed pieces from verified Native American silversmiths. Whatever. I was just seeing if anyone recognized the marking.

I didn't say you were.......... only that I don't see the casting as done by a 1st nations artist.
    Whatever...

Back in the 70s and 80s, everyone and their brother was churning out turquoise jewelry to meet the demand at that time.
Not all of it was good.

Jaws and a shark tooth and what @stracci just said. During the 70s that ring would have sold to a person who I can easily envision.
