    Hey folks!

I picked up this really nice ivory and silver-headed walking stick (stick is ebony) this week. I've been trying to read the hallmarks, but I just can't do it. The hallmark images online are REALLY SMALL and I just cannot find any decent, high-definition copies to compare.

It's STERLING, CHESTER...and...I have no bloody idea.

    M? D? B? C? E? I give up. It's mid-1800s, that's all I know.

It's Chester 1934. The maker's mark appears to be, or start with, HS. My best guess is that it's HSH for Henry Stanley Hack of Brimscombe, Gloucestershire who registered his mark in December 1920 as an umbrella stick and parasol stick manufacturer.

    Thanks Phil!

1934! Wow I was way out. I never expected it to be that late!
