Belongs to a friend and these are the only pictures I have. He thought maybe Moser. I also think Harrach a possibility. Any ideas? Think this could be missing a lid?

Beautiful. I can't help you, but it looks inspired by Medieval aquamaniles.

Neat pitcher! Possibly Royo? Their glass is often mistaken for Moser.

Might it have had a lid shaped like an animal head? It's gorgeous.

Hmm...it might have, but somehow the proportions would then be surreal. I think not, Bev.

My first thought was Royo, too.

I think it got too close to the catnip stash and lost its head.

Tell your friend I covet their glass and they should never invite me over because I could not contain myself. :link::angelic:

Absolutely fantastic! Very scarce animal but I've seen I've before. Can't remember if it was a museum or one of my dozens of glass books. My moneys on Harrach first, Moser 2nd choice. That link on Harrach, well, let's just say this, people don't often sell good Harrach. I don't believe it ever had a lid.
I'll keep looking in my books, this may take a while.
