Hello everyone, i found this beautifull bust of the godess diana if i am not mistaken. It ways 15 kilo and is 50 cm high and is made of some kind of cast material maybe plaster. It has a stamp on it, which i can't decipher. hope someone knows the age of the bust and what the stamp says. 10.jpg IMG_20240901_141819304.jpg IMG_20240902_093519261.jpg

This is not identical to yours, but yours is the same sort of thing, a plaster casting of the Diana of Versailles.

The visible lighter coloured seam line from the mould makes me think not very old. I’m surprised the caster hasn’t tried to patinate it to try and disguise it better.

I'm surprised by how widely reproduced she is.

Actually I was referring specifically to the bust. A Google Images search brings up many copies of varying quality and price.

Here's a particularly fine one in marble.

it all in the eye of the beholder. my statue is nice and i like it and surely 13 euro is cheap enough for what i paid. it sits proudly on a desk. IMG_20240903_090240176.jpg

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I have one, too! Some details are painted gold. A plaster cast, I'm sure. Chips, etc. About 6.5" tall. She does not have a base like the others illustrated in this thread. Usually stands in the shelving unit in the second photo. Diana of Versailles 1 resized.jpg
