Thanks for the post, @Any Jewelry . I have seen the Green living one before, and actually finally got round to applying to join that forum this morning.

It's amazing how many times some companies change hands. I tried to get some diesel engine info from Rolls Royce earlier in the year. A company so full of history, that you'd think an archive would have been set up years ago. But due to the repeated change of ownership, they haven't even got anything about diesel engines of the 1960s.

I found this bit before
Simon Beal bought or took over Edward Deane in 1907. He was later taken to court, for leaving the Royal arms up on the original building of Deane Co

Overclocking is when you turn up the speed of the computer, hopefully to a speed just before the processor goes bang. The Forum is on a website for computer parts sales, but not connected.
The admin seem a little over zealous on creating new threads, and never reviving old threads, even if you're just asking a single person a question about their original post.
Sad part is that I can't delete my account, as there's no option for it - or even to send other members private messages

 

Well...... ummm , u can't delete you own account here either...... but if u need to , u can edit a post here..... deleting what you wrote.... and leaving a single dot.
It's time sensitive.... a few hours , but a nice feature ....if needed !

& u can post to a 7 year old thread if you want to...... specially if you have new and helpful information !!

Then there's us..... friendly , helpful, honest.... but we love to kid around & we don't tolerate bad actors or personal attacks ....
