Featured Fabulous Silver Chain for my snake head brooch

Bought this chain to pair with my snake head brooch and they deserve a new post! What do you think of the age of the chain? It's not marked, 17'' in length

 

looks like a watch chain....& I think it overwhelms the brooch.....

 

haha okay it’s indeed beautiful on its own. Are watch chains made that long? I usually only find them near 20cm

 

big fat guy...would need a longer chain...imo

I agree that it's a watch chain, and that it does do its best to overshadow that fab brooch.

I think it looks great as is! Very different and unusual. Cool combo. Sort of edgy!

 

sorry I don’t get you here. Where is this supposed to go? Are you talking about converting a neck chain to a watch chain?

 

The converter converts a brooch to a wearable pendant. You slide the pin through the long horizontal tube then fasten the pin closed. Your neck chain then goes through the loop on top.

 

Oh I see! But that way the chain won’t join at two ends of the snake head forming its body. It’s actually fine now, just a bit difficult to put up but looks great once done but that’s a good find! I might buy a few for my other brooches, thanks!

 

You can try clasping them all together, and now you got a long guard chain with mixed style

 

Nah I'm not saying about changing it, you can simply removed the dog clip from the watch and link it to the jump ring of another chain. But if the jump ring is fixed on the watch then it cannot be detached without damaging it

 

I like it, it makes it look like one of those Victorian snake chokers. First thing I would buy if I won the lotto.
