looking for information on this cabinet

I anyone has any info on this cabinet, it would be greatly appreciated.
I picked it up at an old farm auction last week.

 

Need more pics to confirm but looks quite modern, pseudo-French.

Looks like 1952 is the year of production. A bit older than I thought but still not antique.

 

Agree it doesn't look terribly old but... Meubelbewaring translates as Furniture Storage. Of the typed information... Denys is a surname and the date (a Tuesday) could be when it was placed into storage. Ah, here we go. K. Wittock at that address was a forwarding agent.

So not a manufacturer's label and 1952 isn't a production date. Sorry that I possibly mislead you. Can we see the back and drawer construction?

 

So it was in storage in 1952. Given that, my first thought is that it’s an 1870s armoire that has been relatively recently turned into a vitrine. This is an initial impression, but more photos are necessary.

 

Machine-made dovetails, pine secondary. I’ll stick with my original assessment.

 

The cabinet is roughly 44 inches wide by 20 inches deep. When assembled, stands roughly 96-98 inches tall.

 

I think Ghopper is spot-on with his assessment that it is a converted wardrobe. Evidence is seen in the photos of the back side of the doors. I might not think quite as old as 1870 but I do think antique. How is the back of the cabinet made?

 

I really need to apologize for this initial assessment. I was looking on my phone and really know better not to look at tiny pictures and make judgements from them

 

There was not a back on when I purchased it. There is a slot on each side piece to receive a panel of some sort. Slot is shown in picture that shows my hand. I believe it's the first picture in the last set I posted.
