    Here's a comparison, using your fuzzy image, note the '1' visible to the right of her helmet, a better image or a good loupe might let you see it better. Again, a good image of the best diamond shaped maker's mark might help with dating.

    They're yours to decide on polishing (slow and gentle), but the oxidation was not originally present other than in the crevices, to highlight the design elements - it is just heavy old tarnish...

    Hi, I was finally able to find another mark. It looks like a number the letter A small x and maybe a bird. Idk.
