I am still trying to find out more information about Felix/A. Silver. If any one else knows more, please reply to me. I tried searching for him. however he appears to be elusive.[/QUOTE]

Hello, I bought his painting on flea market in Poland. I really like the painting, some vase with four pink peonies. I cant upload the photo here, unfortunately.

I suspect the reason he's elusive is because he didn't exist. Those all appear to be decorative paintings. And not by the same hand.

It is possible that there was an Austrian painter named, Silver. These are not by him/her. Agree that they are factory paintings. Quite often the factory painters will pick up on a name within a certain genre because of the possibility of attribution. They play off the success of someone else. As we see, this misattribution gets perpetuated down the line. People want to believe they have something important/valuable. Just doesn't make it so.

Please be careful of what information you share. I currently have over 60 paintings by A. Silver Felix). He is legitimate. However, his data is elusive. I have read about the Austria school. I have also had information about him being a perfectionist. Supposedly he got his talent from his mother. I have also read that he is the son of a banker. He has lived in Italy, New York, and Austria. He does do landscapes as well. This is not an artist that others have copied. I have followed his work for over 40 years and acquired many. Do you have any documentation that supports the information above? I can find none.

I have information that was listed on the back of the paintings. I also have documentation of one of the paintings being used as a prop for a major television show. The information is elusive no doubt. I have spent the last ten years trying to get a more thorough description of his work.
