Featured Huge imari vase

    Just picked this up on the way home from work. Was just about to leave the shop and the manager shouted me over. She said that there was another one but it broke. I asked what she had done with it and she said, 'Oh all the top was broke so I smashed it up with a hammer :bored:


    It's 40cm tall and weighs a fair whack

    I thought that. Found a website that describes a very similar one as being mid 19th, but I don't know all the nuances of styles that defines age of these. We can prob safely say mid 19th to early 20th. The decor isn't too shabby like on some pieces. I just wish I had the other one. I wish she didn't tell me stuff like that. Id rather be happy in my ignorance. Like the time she said 'We've got a big Beswick horse in'. 'Oh someone must have bought it'. :arghh:

    C1880-1900 I think but difficult to date exactly. Good quality.
