Help with mayan? Symbols on slate

    Found this piece at a local thrift. Thought it was kind of cool. Was curious to see if anyone might know what this represents? I also turned it over and found a fossilized fish on the back. Thank you for any info!

    It does look like Mayan glyphs, but I can't tell if they are accurate and actually say something. It seems awfully fresh/clean. It makes me wonder if selecting a piece of limestone with the fossil was an attempt to make it seem old. I suspect some form of reproduction.

    I believe your detail photos are upside down -
