Featured Single Asian Bowl, 3-Character Signature: Origin & Age, Please?

    It's ~8 7/8" diameter, ~1 1/2" high, with a ~4 3/4" foot rim diameter; weight is ~13.9 oz. It is quite translucent. I can't be sure I have the signature orientated correctly, as I don't recognize the characters/language.
    I think it was among uncle Leonard's treasures, but I am uncertain about where I acquired this piece. Thanks for lookin'!

    Lovely bowl, whit. It looks Japanese to me.
