  1. Hi guys,

I have this odd metal open end wrench from an estate sale and would like to know what type this is and what it's used for? I have not seen anything like this before.

Just some left over metal from the casting process that should have been removed in the factory probably.

  4. Well I have another wrench just like this from the same estate sale. So I don't think it's a mistake.

Look how crude it is, and how it follows the seam line. Maybe someone worked at a factory making the wrenches and kept the rejects. That thing would be very awkward to use. Can't even comfortably grip it.

They're not cast, they're forged. That 'extra' piece is called flash. Cheap tool, poor quality control.

  8. So my question is, are Fulton Wrenches considered cheap tools?

Right, looks to have moved in the die before striking or was not properly placed in the first place.
