Featured Cinnabar? enamel chinese jar

    hi folks

    something else i found this week in my friends house clearance shop. dont think its resin
    seems to have a metal base with enameling

    not sure of age, not sure if early 20th or late 19th

    marked china in the enamel to the base

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    I would guess at the earlier part of the 20th Century.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    Just commenting to send this back to the top, if anybody has more comments. It appears to need some cleaning, but not sure of the best way to clean it if it is real cinnabar lacquer.
