    Yer blades thread is satisfied, Komo.
    Text an' pics, below, are a dupe of that:

    It's ~9 1/4" overall, with a ~3 3/8" grip. The tang is ~1/8" thick an' ~7/8" deep at the blade end, tapering slightly toward the pommel end. 3 steel pins secure the scales, which are probably original. Evidence at the ricasso indicate a possible guard of as much as ~7/16" depth, long-since missing. Markings at the left-hand ricasso are marginally legible; Challenger Cutlery, Sheffield, England. Weight as shown is ~4 ounces.

    Or, perhaps, a ferrule and guard?

    Hello again!

    So finally I have them at hand and as promised here are some more photos of the knife. Will put in the blades thread too once we know a bit more, let me know if any extra angle would be helpful.

    @komokwa

    Many thanks!

    Wish I could make more of the markings... perhaps the D in the bottom is for England ? Other than that a complete mistery to me

    Thanks komokwa, yeah I think it's probably gonna stay a mistery, I will spend though some of my work time looking at makers markings haha. But very happy with the bowie, looks and feels great. And was still sharp, I unfortunately cut a little bit (luckily small and obviously because of the leather is quite dry) of the sheath getting it out :eek:
