Something else from my grandfather, other than that I don’t know much more about its origin?

I believe it is Nephrite spinach jade, not sure about age, dimensions are 190mm x 110mm x 5mm, the weight of the jade is 393.25g, there is n older carving done earlier sometime under the gold over decoration visible in the upper left of image 3, image 4 shows indirect light shining through from a nearby window.

It is Chinese, and I agree, spinach jade, although the specks aren't very dark, but they are present.
It may have been new when your grandfather got it, but it is a very nice piece.

That's really beautiful...an' the easel (there is surely a better name for it, but...) is a fine piece of carved art as well. Thanks!
