Any ideas on this brutalist necklace? All the w’s

Trying to help a friend. Thinking brass It’s not magnetic on the pendant and ever so slightly on the necklace bars. The center is yuge!! 3.5” x 4” I’m thinking vintage, brutalist and brass. Any idea on any of the Ws? Who, what, where, and when? I do not see any signature on it

 

Possibly made by a student/hobbyist post 1972 with a Matt wax gun and casting the pattern.

 

Or a crafts fair piece. Agree re date.

I have some brass bracelets made in a similar way that I bought from the artisan at a crafts show, probably late 80s.

 

I’ll throw in that I’ve metal pieces like this which were made in South Africa.
