Featured WHAT AND WHEN IS THIS? I HAVE NO CLUE

I have no idea how old or what this. Along with modern nails there are at least 3 hand made nails. I will gladly take in any and all opinions. Thank you in advance

It is 26" tall and 11" wide.

Love the honest wear and mends. The carved flower a bit unusual, I'd think.

Too true ! That's a beautiful primitive piece.

 

I think this is newish, made to look old. The carving is too crisp and the wear does not seem natural. The mended crack is too over the top. Really would expect an age crack to extend from the end rather than be in the middle like that. Maybe from India?

India would be right. The added floral motif does point toward decorative (and recent.)

Rural Americana...utter function. Sweet!

 

My grandmother had something with that shape, but smaller and different look that she kept her table napkins in. She had my grandpa hang it on the wall in the kitchen. Her's was from the 70's I think
