Iam
obviously not searching correctly because I couldn’t find it.

What was it used for? Maybe something used for wire fencing?
    Thanks for any help

That’s cool. Thanks Debora, didn’t find/see that. I saw other more modern pliers called Diamond... but not with same emblem.

Sliding hammer nail puller, thats why it extends.

I see not very valuable, but I only paid about $1 and just bought it for interest sake. So not bad. Thanks again @daveydempsey

It is a remarkably useful an' efficient tool. I have one an' have used it, off & on, for years. The sliding part has 2 functions; the first is as a ram, to dig those nipper tips into the wood an' under the heads of flush-set nails, an' then fully extended as a long-arm lever, to extract the nail. Note that as the tool is leaned into the short lever attached to one nipper, the grip on the nail is increased. I have bitten more than one 16d nail off at the head when it was so absolutely frozen into old Douglas Fir that it wouldn't come free. If you ever need to use one of these, once you get the hang of it you'll never be without it!

Thanks for that explanation. It sounds like a very useful tool to have. I will definitely hang on to it then.
