I have these two candlesticks, I was wondering how I can identify if they are real brass and if they are real, how old they can be. Thank you

 

They look like brass from here. Age is...not much. Someone may know enough to pin them down.

 

Not ugly. Are they heavy? That nut at the bottom doesn’t look very old. Makes me think of stuff from India. Maybe 90’s or so (just my guess) Other more knowledgeable members will know better.

No worries. You are doing just fine ,but yes a descriptive Title is always good..

 

No reason to believe these are not brass. Newer decor item and India is a likely source. looks like they may be lacquered to keep from tarnishing. Damage pretty much negates value but these are not high valued in the first place.
