I thought I would share my finds today. I was very excited when I found all of this at a sale today. It wasn’t super cheap, but it was affordable for me. Lately estate turquoise in my area has been too pricey, so I was happy to get a couple of more pieces for my collection. There are a couple of Mexico pieces (Taxco bracelet, and rectangular ring), but for the most part I think it is probably Native American. All the pieces are unmarked, except for the Mexico pieces.

Fabulous! If that much was available at a local sale where I lived, prices would have been sky high. Glad you didn't hold back!

    Nice haul!

The stone-free sterling bracelet looks like Industrial Art Deco design. Is that the Mexican one? Looks like really nice quality.

Thanks. It has been pricy around here lately. I drove a ways to get to this sale. But it paid off in the end.

Yes. It is marked sterling taxco mexico in a circular pattern, with 925 in the center of those words. It is very nice, and heavy.

If there's no eagle or "bell" elsewhere that could be a pre-WWII mark, in which case you really made out!

The malachite piece looks like it was made by a hobbyist/student.Excess solder in a number of places and poor bezel setting.

I rubbed it a bit with a sunshine cloth. I think it was easier to see the mark while it had more tarnish. But here it is. IMG_0017-compressed.jpeg

Great finds, cfh, especially love the chunk of turquoise on the bracelet.
And I have never seen a Zuni inlay turtle ring before, very sweet.

Love that cuff. The malachite setting is the same as a rather old turquoise ring I own.

Odd that they didn't sign it with their maker's mark. It's too nice to be unsigned. No idea how old it really is.

I have found a couple just like it attributed to J Flores. Here is one on ebay just like it. But it has a signiture. IMG_0029-compressed.png IMG_0030-compressed.jpeg

This design was probably made by several makers. The way it goes in Mexico (and other countries) is, someone designs a nice piece of jewellery, it sells, and others copy it. Without a maker's mark, you won't know who made yours.

I was unaware of that. But, good to know! I find quite a bit of Taxco and Mexico jewelry.
