Hello, new here

Hi, I’m 71 retired from a career working in emergency services, aside from an interest in antiques I’ve made ceramic art for 50 years I’m also actively involved in and vice president of Western States Prospecting Association we have property in Arizona and gold prospecting claims in other states with a primary focus on metal detecting.

My introduction to antique stores began early my parents were frequent visitors and active traders, my grandfather had a small freight company in San Francisco in the early 1900’s sharing a warehouse space on Sutter street with Butterfields auctioneers adjoining the auction house. My grandfather was given great quantities of items that did not sell at auction no one wanted and from estates up and down California, pre depression years up until the late 1950’s.

weekly we visited my grandparents my grandfather would load up our car. All kinds of stuff some you wanted some not so much you didn’t really have a choice but we were first name basis with every antique shop within a hundred miles.

One visit he gave me a big cardboard box filled with old baseball cards most monotone and early some color from the 50’s and 60’s hundreds from some estate sale…
