Featured Coalport cups and saucers

I picked these up on Saturday and thinking that they may be Coalport. The gold snow flake in the centre, the swirling pattern on the side and the numerals underneath. Unusual thing is that the cups are both different but the saucers match. Possibly odds and sods?

Late to the party, I missed this. Could well be Coalport, the gilding looks good enough. It’s not uncommon to get the same saucer on different cup patterns, I was literally just looking at a Wedgwood set.

 

There's also an impressed mark on the base but struggling to get my camera to focus on it

Sorry, didn't notice previously -- if one is smaller than the other, then the smaller one is a tea cup and the larger for coffee. Usually a trio -- one saucer, two cups. But here we have 2 saucers for 2 cups!

 

I thought of a trio but I thought those cups fitted inside each other neatly in a stack.

 

Well, since the cups are different sizes, you'd have to stack like sizes with like. However, in the 20th c trios are usually cup, saucer and dessert/side plate.
