Weird gold mark

    It’s not mine, so I don’t have a photo yet, it belongs to my clever friend. A brooch, which we both think is gold, and the back looks twenties or thirties. There’s a teeny weeny mark which looks like a thing with four legs. And familiar. Arg.

    I realise that’s not terribly helpful, but anyone want to suggest a rabbit hole to go down?

    Thanks both, those are potentially rabbit holes. It has a French look so a weevil might make sense.
