Need help to on a WWII German Banner

Hello all,

I found this banner from a local estate sale. The condition is fair with some etching hole on it and the longer edge is about 40”.
Any idea if this is authentic or reproduction?

 

Maybe you've already determined it's the symbol for the The Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst; RAD).

The Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst; RAD) was a major paramilitary organization established in Nazi Germany as an agency to help mitigate the effects of unemployment on the German economy, militarise the workforce and indoctrinate it with Nazi ideology. It was the official state labour service, divided into separate sections for men and women.

From June 1935 onward, men aged between 18 and 25 may have served six months before their military service.[vague] During World War II, compulsory service also included young women, and the RAD developed to an auxiliary formation which provided support for the Wehrmacht armed forces.

I wouldn't think there'd be any reason to make repros of this, but WDIK? Looks like it has real age to it.

Some of the others like yours have a white stretch of re-enforced fabric with loops on each end to hang it from.

 

That is an original Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reichs Labour Service) pennant.

This is one of the very few 3rd Reich organizations flags with no swastika on it. The female RAD flags had a swastika on the them.

Of all the 3rd Reich flags this one is not so desirable for collectors, because it has neither a military or NSDAP Party relation. This was „just“ the mandatory labour service.

Depending where you are located this is a 200 to 300 US Dollar flag.
