Featured I have not a clue what these are but for $4 I thought I'd find out (pottery birds)

I have searched and searched but even with a signature and a maker's mark, I still haven't found out what the heck these are.

I thought they were neat. Kinda MCM or Scandinavian art pottery. And for $4, how could I turn them down?

There's a set of 4 but only one has the artist signature. All 4 have the potter's mark.

Any idea? Even search words would be a help.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I can tell you that my grandmother had a "flock" of birds that looked much like that. I'm GUESSING that she would have bought them in the 50s. Now that I think of her birds, I wonder where they went. Hey! Maybe you have them there! I like 'em!

Can anyone decipher the signature? I've tried variations of what I think it is with no luck so far.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

It's a cautionary tale of what you run across when you compulsively Google... in this case it was "LQUJAS"...

I mean that specific collect/construction of words.
Who in the Helsinki would look for that? :p

Talking to a pottery dealer at the auction today and he thinks they may be Italian or Portuguese. Off to do some more searching.
