Studio Pottery Shoe. Do you recognize this style?

    Hello. I have this ceramic shoe sculpture (please see the images). Can anyone help me identify the style of this piece. I think it would best be described as "majolica", but I am not sure. Also does the writing on the front of the piece mean anything to you? Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
