Short but funny,scary story.
My family was in Europe on one of those trips where you see 20 cities in 20 minutes. LOL It was terrible.

But when we were in Portugal (I think) we went to a restaurant where on the table they had crude ashtrays hand made of clay with the name of the place scribbled into the clay on the base. I could have made better and I am not crafty.

So someone in my family decided they wanted to take one home. We are leaving the place and suddenly all the waiters are screaming at us and running after us.

My mother handed me the ashtray as we walked or ran on (guess she thought I would handle arrest better... oy) Anyway, after a while they gave up and we arrived back at our hotel. I could not get out of there fast enough and back on the bus to leave the country so as not to have them come after me. I was a teen so this was scary. Leave it to my family to make me the scapegoat.
